Matt Frischman is in his 14th season with the Minnesota Orchestra, having played additionally with the Virginia Symphony and the New World Symphony. He is a graduate of the Curtis Institute of Music of Philadelphia, a pupil of former Philadelphia Orchestra Principal Bassist, Roger Scott.
Matt also performs with the Strings Music Festival in Steamboat Springs, Colorado, the Brainerd Lakes Chamber Music Festival and has been a member of the Oregon Bach Festival Orchestra. He also appears on a regular basis with the local Twin Cities chamber music ensemble, The Musical Offering.
In addition to music, Matt enjoys swimming, biking and running and has completed the Ironman Triathlon. He is a co-founding member of the competitive triathlon relay team, The MnOrcs.
