  1. While I lived in Minneapolis, for nearly 20 years, my wife and I were always season subscribers to your concerts. We now live in Washington state, nearly 2,000 miles from Minneapolis. What do we miss most about Minneapolis? Yes, the park system is fabulous, but it our weekly concerts that we miss the most. The combination of so much sublime music-making and the wonderful acoustics of Orchestra Hall is intoxicating. We miss it, dearly. Whenever we return to town, we ardently look forward to your concerts. So, we were really disheartened by the year-long closure of Orchestra Hall, but we never dreamed that the contract negotiations would deteriorate to this point. Even though all of America’s orchestras will surely be going through tough times and a certain retrenchment, in salaries, it seems that your management has treated you with outright contempt. We are completely disgusted with this and completely supportive of you. We wish you the very best. This is very painful to watch, even from 2,000 miles away.
